little confused on the fine line of contamination

recently there was a post about the dry verm barrior saving the jar from cobweb mold I didnt see anything but something that looked to me like myc. so my question is how do we know the difference between the two? What are the tail tell early signs of the cobweb mold in brf verm jars? some pictures of cobweb may help if the link is out there..

cobweb does not NORMALLY grow in jars
its not WHITE its grayish wight

If you have it and have seen myc growth it will be preety noticeable. As said it is more gray and looks like..well a cobweb.

so I have jars full of solid white kinda thick fluffy goodness now but at first it was merely cloudy kinda transparent

Sometimes it starts off very thin and thickens/whitens as it grows.
