RYE RYE RYE RYE RYE !! LOL ...... I love Rye ... its easy as can be in my opinion, when I started out I actually had Rye Grass Seed instead of Rye Berries and that caused some problems for me but once I got that figured out its been 100 % success all the way !! And Ill tell you what, it colonizes WAY faster than the Rye Grass Seed does, by far !

3/4 cup water to 1 cup rye combined in a quart jar with a filter disc. Let it sit for 24 hours and then PC for 1 hour at 15 PSI. Works like  a charm .... I just bought a 50 lbs bag for $19.99. I havent used gypsum or any other additives and havent needed to, I shake the quarts while still warm to mix the wet and dry kernals, let them cool, inoculate and incubate with Karo. Colonization is fast around 10 - 12 days Im guessing. This last batch was super fast. I shake once at about 20% and then leave them alone for the most part, if its still slow in another four days I might shake one more time but thats it.

This is a quart of rye 11 days after being shot up, B+ strain.  :smile:
