I need some help with this ID.

Speciman #1






Habitat: Wood - Found this in my front flowerbed in the large bark dust.

Gills: Looks like dark cream to brown.

Stem: Whitish, cream color.

Cap: Brown funnel shape about 4 to 5 inches across.

Spore print color: ???

Bruising: No color change was observed.

Location: Willamette Valley - Oregon.

I believe you are right:
I looked it up after you posted the "name" and it fits the bill.

I believe we have geraniums in the flowerbed.

location: North America, Europe
edibility: Poisonous/Suspect
fungus colour: Yellow, Orange
normal size: 5-15cm
cap type: Funnel shaped
stem type: Simple stem
spore colour: White, cream or yellowish
habitat: Grows in woods, Grows on the ground

Tapinella atrotomentosa has a dark brown, velvety stem. Yours looks more like Paxillus involutus.
