Cracker dry shrooms storing question

Just curious if it is a bad idea to wrap Cracka dry shrooms in plastic wrap and put into my fridge for later use. should i just place in freezer??

You can toss em anywhere. Theyll be fine. Ive eaten 4 year old mushrooms I found in my dresser. They were great

put them in a jar and leave it in a dark cabinet, not the freezer.

yea, mason jar with silica packets, away from heat and light. :thumbup:

oxidation (prolonged exposure to air/oxygen) causes potency loss not heat or light.

just put them in a airtight jar/container with silica/desiccant packs and put where ever you want.:sun:

temp would have to be above 250F + for any potency loss, you boil water (220F) to make shroom tea or cook them on a grill BBQ style and all that doesnt hurt potency. :stoned:

I dunno if the above 250F is correct because you can boil your shrooms for too long while making tea. This can cause severe loss in potency. They dont have to be kept cold or frozen by any means, but i've eaten shrooms i froze for a year and there was no noticable loss of potency.

once again thats still oxidation.

your extracting the actives into water (hydrogen + 2 Oxygens)  so the longer you leave it in your tea to steep the extracted actives are being directly oxidized.  its not the heat.
