Tree Fort Tribes

There are hippies on Vancouver island who live in tree forts and live off the land mostly. Someone I know had the pleasure of staying with them for a while. Networks of tree forts and lots of fishing and growing mushrooms.
I would love to live this way, if I had a tribe. Would you? (it doesn't have to be a hippie tribe)

i would love to live in a tribe, society isn't cuttin it for me. growing weed and shrooms there would be a plus, just sitting around a fire and smoking pot and eating mushrooms, sounds like heaven to me.

I can't recall the exact name, but there are still sustenance hunter gatherer tribes in Africa. They devote ~8hrs/week to food related work.. I suppose if you were someone inclined to spend the rest of their time growing and consuming weed and shrooms than it could be a pretty good lifestyle :P

Why would having lots of free time only be about consuming weed & shrooms?
What about exercising, having sex, meditating, making music

Yeh I'd have to try it really, part of me says yes I'd love it and part of me says I'm just idealistic and it would be just the same but with less to do unless i sorted my head out.

AND connecting with nature. Van Island has some nature. Not to mention great fishing. I could fish all day.

Same, pretty much. I would miss my hard drive full of music. But the thought of being around nature 24/7 is a nice one. It would most likely calm my mind, so I wouldn't need much to do. Just be.

Then our mind suddenly comes up with new ideas and new ways to look at things because we left some space open for it to bubble up into instead of keeping it filled with outside trash.
I'd love to try that lifestyle. I also love moving to different cities to feel and see the differences, but there is a silence in nature that is heals us from stress.
Experiment.
Lets go...

To experiment and to keep uprooting work for me. It allows me to re-invent myself again and again.
