Yeah, you pose a valid point.

I'm assuming that it could be that it's not a nutritious as BRF? Don't know. Need more opinions!

See, this is one of the things I've been rattling my noodle on for quite a while now.  Just what in the hell do mushrooms eat?? I'm talking specifically.  I mean, overall, one substrate could be a hell of a lot more nutritious in one thing, but that could mean absolutely nothing if mushrooms don't consume that one thing.  Any links or information?

Also, why do you think it's not organic?

if you are trying to do this successfully. most of the nutrients are gone from things not organic. go look I'm sure it says enriched everything on the nutritional facts

Organic corn meal is in fact less nutritious than organic BRF.

Perhaps some spent coffee grounds in the mix? Or some diluted coffee in the mix?

But at that point why not use BRF with some gypsum and a bit of coffee? Hahaha

Really?  My sources say otherwise.  Where did you read that?

Not as a primary substrate, as an additive.  Not sure how much to how much though.  I've heard in bulk grows that they use 1 quart verm, 1 quart coffee grounds, 1 brick coir.  I don't think that's what you were looking for though.
