One of those things that just happen

So last night my buddy and I took a drive down to santa cruz, hearing we could pick some lucy off this kid we had never met before

Sounded farfetched to me, but it was worth a shot, I havent seen lucy for a few years and was eager to get ahold of her.

So we drove down 17, smoking a blunt and getting super blitzed and we get off the freeway, Im like "where does he live?"

"turn right here"

The house was RIGHT off the freeway

So we go inside, super friendly people greet us

I was expecting a bunch of trippers not expecting us and maybe they would freak out, but this was hardly the case.

My friend bought 4 and I got 10 and we were in and out of the house in about 3 minutes

My friend took one as soon as we got in the car so he would be feeling it by the time we got home

I thought it would be nice to take a huge cutty and drive the one lane backroads most of the way home, so we smoke the other blunt on this drive. Unknowing what danger lay ahead

My friend deffinatly started tripping while we were on this "shortcut" so we were having a good time, fast music and fast cars = fast times

So we are ALMOST home free, like literally less than a block from my house, and we get pulled over...................

I was like "WTF man? what should I do with all this acid in my shirt pocket?"

"just leave it man" my friend replies

"Whatever, if its going to happen then its going to happen" I say

The cop come up to my window and tells me that my back lights are out, asks me a few more questions that I respond to in a whimpery voice, I was scared witless.

He says it'll probably just be a fix it ticket, but when he is back at his car writing me up, fucking backup arrives.

I thought, Oh shit he smelled the half roasted blunt thats in my door handle and he called for back up and we are going to jail tonite.

I almost ate 13 tabs when that second car pulled up

but the cop comes back to my window and just tells me to get it fixed, no ticket

and we leave.............

I forgot that my buddy had taken his tab 2 hours ago and is probably flipping his gourd right now.

It just seems that this kind of thing always happenss when a psychedelic is in the car.

Oh man I can't wait to kick it with Lucy again either. I live in the Bay Area and a friend of mine has friends in Santa Cruz hopefully someday we will have our chance to meet up with Lucy, without the cops that is.

I've had a serious incident like that occur before where I escaped barely.  Two cars, me and my buddy brandon in one, his brother and 3 other friends in the Suzuki Swift.  My car breaks down and overheats, so they go get me radiator fluid and water.  They're drunk.  I'm not but I'm tripping balls (We're out in the desert flats in the middle of Nevada, big huge flat playa to play on with cars), a cop pulls up to see what's going on with my car.  Well it's a smalltown cop from Fallon, he's not pulling to really check, he's pulling over for an arrest.  Arrested my buddies in the other car, and went over to me to handcuff me.  First thing I screamed is "Fuck you breathalize me, I haven't had a single drink."  Cop walks back to his car saying "yeah right."  breathalizes me and has to send me on my way, all 0's.

Yes, YES!  I got my DUI because I had an illuminator light out.  That's the little shitbag of a light that illuminates your license plate.  I was a smart-ass and asked him if he had headlights, and that got me in jail, but regardless, I wouldn't have been pulled over if it wasn't for that light.

Everyone makes the mistake.  Especially when you aren't really drunk.  A 0.82 (.02 over the limit) is ridiculous.  Two beers.

Me and my buddies don't smoke blunts to often in the car. But we do smoke bowls or joints, especially on the freeway during road trips.


I highly doubt anyone is going to call highway patrol if they see someone smoking. If you get pulled over, and your car smells like bud and you do happen to have some weed on you, bummer your sack gets taken away and you might get a ticket....


...But, when ever there is something else in the car (LSD, MDMA, Etc.) smoking in the car is not smart.



And to the OP, highway 17 is a fun drive, especially when there isn't much traffic. I've smoke many bowls on highway 17....Highway 9 is another fun, and beautiful, drive. I'm curious, what "short cut" you guys took.

On the way back, we took summit road end to end, then cut over to skyline blvd, then down page mill.

so not really a "shortcut" :wink:
