Question about pruning cannabis..
    #11382742 - 11/04/09 12:27 PM (8 years, 1 month ago)

Just a curiosity I haven't been able to find an answer to elsewhere yet: Will trimming away secondary branches on flowering marijuana cause new branches to emerge? Like if you remove the branch but leave the associated fan leaf.

my rule of thumb while trimming was always cut it the way you would want to buy it. If you feel that the stem is necessary to be cut, go for it. it doesnt matter if u make the nug into two pieces, just dont go edward scissor hands on it.

Yes, new branches will start to form on the leaf node closest to where you cut the branch. Although if it's flowering the plant probably won't put too much energy into making those branches grow.
