Supposedly the military is 10 years more advanced then the public.

The government has free energy technology. The government also runs hand and hand with the fossil fuel cartels.

We could all have free energy. Tesla figured out how to do it over a 100 years ago.

i dont think that the government is that much more advanced than we are.

the collective brain power of millions of people working together can do a lot more interesting and creative things than a few suits behind a desk in washington.

Unfortunately those with the brain power usually get drafted by the government.

the difference, in my mind, is that its not a few really super intelligent people. its a collection of semi-smart people with an interesting, original idea all working together to create something extraordinary.

I think this is the direction the internet is bringing us. We aren't quite there yet though.

I disagree. A handful of people with a massive amount of money will have a better shot than a bunch without the funding.

There are of course exceptions though. The exceptions are not "semi smart" people though. They are geniuses like Nikola Tesla. Einstein etc

In the 1970s the CIA had remote-controlled dragonflies that could transmit sounds they eavesdropped back to receivers.

it depends on the situation. most respectable universities will give the funding also, keeping development out of the government.

I'd believe that it's way more than just a mere 10 years. Tesla developed free energy technology at the beginning of the 20th century, the Nazis built anti-gravity aircraft, the Philadelphia Experiment only happened in 1943! With all these black budget military programs continuing into the second half of the century and even to this day, and with the exponential growth we see in computer advancement.. the actual technological limit of the world is likely to be higher than most of us tend to think.

Phil Schneider claimed that, as far as technology is concerned, for every calendar year that transpires, military technology increases about 44.5 years.

The internet comes out of a big government program called ARPANET.  Yet today it is quite possibly the biggest hub of anti-government sentiment.  Ungrateful bastards.

:lolz:  no he didnt.

The 'military' has advanced technology that the 'public' has no access too.  GPS is a good example, that was military only until recently.  But most research is done by the public and public corporations and is freely available in published journals.  The govt at large very often lags behind in adopting new technology.

My friend's dad has worked for every major weapons/defense company I can think of. He used to write program for anti-tank missiles and worked on the Tomahawk cruise missile. Their phones have always been bugged and sometimes you hear other people on them or just general noises that shouldn't be there. He has never told us exactly what is around, but that government technology is pretty much 25 years ahead of public technology.

What does that mean 25 years ahead?  Does that mean that 25 years ago they had pocket sized cell phones, plasma TVs and quad-core processors?
