What replaces Pirate Bay?
    #11381078 - 11/04/09 12:11 AM (14 years, 5 months ago)

Any suggestions?

--------------------
It's just like the story of the grasshopper and the octopus.
All year long, the grasshopper kept burying acorns for winter, while the
octopus mooched off his girlfriend and watched TV.
But then the winter came, and the grasshopper died, and the octopus ate all his acorns.
Also he got a race car.
Is any of this getting through to you?

Umm, The Pirate Bay is still up and running.

I just used it about an hour ago.

???

Maintenance

The site will return as soon as possible, but there was a problem that caused data loss and the person who can help us get the data back is not able to help at this moment. The site will return when we can get his help

A loss of a some months worth of activity including registered users and torrent submissions is to be expected because the backup we are hoping to get back is not up to date, so please be prepared for it.

According to numerous messages posted by the owners they have the ability to tie up the Swedish courts for literally years with appeals before they will have to pay a single kronar.

I'm not worried.
