Humidity question
    #11378983 - 11/03/09 08:20 PM (8 years, 10 months ago)

Hey guys
I hope this isn't too stupid of a question but I'll give it a shot anyhow. I often read that a good gauge of humidity is seeing condesation on the sides of the container. However, I rarely see condensation on the sides of the container, which I am assuming is due to the holes on the sides that would prevent it from building up. Is that correct or should there still be condensation on the sides even with holes for air exchange?

I've been misting 3-4 times a day when the cakes don't have any water left on them from the last misting, and fanning afterwards as well as fanning sometimes w/o misting.

Perlite is a simple (but messy) way to humidify your fruiting chamber.
If you can't find any you should consider a dunk and roll after your next flush.  Cold shock not necessary.

Condinsation forming on the walls of a container is due to a change in temp from outside in and vise verse.

That is clearly not an accurate way of telling if your humidity is good or not,,,,,,If you have made your FC according to the tek and still have doubt go and get a analog hygrometer

If there is a cigar shop near you, you can often find them there relatively cheap.

You can mist the inside walls of your FC, this should help release moisture into the air/substrate gradually.
