This morning mushroom hunt... possible big find
    #11376978 - 11/03/09 01:15 PM (14 years, 5 months ago)

I love the PNW... Anyways i walk through the woods when i go to college and on the way i spot some shrooms. I said fuck it after class I am goin on my first shroom hunt.

Took me only and hour and my friggen bags were full. Now I know most of these are not active but I did find a SHITLOAD of these wavy caps.

Now what I am wondering is are these butload of wavy caps and hopen maybie they are cyanscens.

The information below is pretty much exactly where I found them (washington state, growwing from rotting debris such and pine needles and tree trimings rotting on the ground. They also look almost exactly and described except I see no blueish coloring.I just picked them so maybie no blue coloring yet. Do active mushrooms HAVE to have coloring?

here are some pics

Habitat: Widely scattered to densely gregarious on woodchips, sawdust, mulch, and humus, and on lawns rich in lignin; partial to coniferous debris, but fond of adler and eucalyptus. It is fairly common in the San Francisco Bay Area in cold weather (mainly December and January, though in favorable conditions fruiting as late as March),especially in landscaped areas and mulched flower beds, and is also fairly common in Oregon, Washington, and British Columbia. The season in the Pacific Northwest is earlier and more brief than in California, typically September and October only.

Psilocybe cyanescens is recognized by a chestnut-brown, striate, wavy-margined cap that soon fades to yellow brown or buff, and blue-staining fruiting body. Because of its hallucinogenic properties, it is sometimes the subject of experimentation, a potentially dangerous practice because of toxic look-alikes in Galerina, Conocybe and Inocybe.

I am also interested in these big yellow guys. Very fiberglass mold on stems and sticks to my fingers like white fiberglass power. Has a slimy somewhat slimey top. Greyish/blue gill/spores/ (more grey then blue.

I also liked these guys. I call them puffers :P. You squeeze them and a clowd of smoke comes out of them and they are completely hollow

here is a bunch of random pics.I must of collected  a few pounds at least of mushrooms. My arm was hurting carying all this shit home.

If anyone can Id any of these or give me ideas if they are edible let me know.

I found a ton of the little button mushrooms growing out of fallen pine needles int his guy yard :P.

Yeah, nothing active there.
The second pic is a Stropharia, they're all over the place next to my house.

And by second pic I mean this one...
