ID request
    #11376738 - 11/03/09 02:41 PM (11 years, 6 months ago)

I was walking across an open field and happened to spot these growing in very close proximity to eachother amongst the grass

I found these growing in an open field in london amongst grass
The stems appear to be about 1-2mm thick and around 30mm long
The caps are conical and of a light brown colour
Spore print is brown
They appear to be bruising slightly blue but very lightly, they are probably slightly immature as i saw slightly larger ones in the sorrounding area

I apologise for poor grammar, layout and the lack of details, i am currently on my ps3 and i am very new to this, i will happily supply any other details if required.
From looking about on the internet, i suspect these to be psilocybe strictipes but i thought it where best left in more capable hands to identify these .
Thanks in advanced for your time ^^

Hmm, I'm pretty sure Strictipes have a purple'ish spore print, not brown.
I'm not sure what you have, but I don't think they're strictipes. Wait for a TI

it's an abbreviation for species.

Attn PWN hunters: If you should come across a bluing Psilocybe matching P. pellicolusa please smell it.
If you detect a scent reminiscent of Anethole (anise) please preserve a specimen or two for study and please PM me.

if you could get good, well focused pictures of the blue you seem to see it might make things interesting, but i'm not sure. possible slight bluing is often wishful thinking, and has happened to me before.
