Keney Park Bust Nets 35 Summonses, 4 Pounds Of Pot [CT]

[moral of the story: always check the cricket field for free pot.]

http://www.courant.com/news/connecticut/hc-web-hartford-marijuana-1104nov04,0,7392055.story

HARTFORD — -  Halloween night, officers with the Hartford police northeast conditions unit shagged trespassers at Keney Park. They issued 35 summons to people or being in the park after it was closed.

In the process, they seized 4.1 pounds of marijuana that had been stashed in places on the cricket field at the park, said Sgt. Christene Mertes, a police spokeswoman. The marijuana was hidden and would be retrieved by sellers for people buying it, Mertes said.

"We do get a lot of complaints about that area," Mertes said, referring to the Tower Avenue/Barbour Street side of the park. "It's a big area to patrol. They went in and hit it."

LOL. Maybe I should start complaining about subway selling sandwiches accross the street. POUNDS of sandwiches. Big time sandwich dealers on the loose. Somebody should really stop them before someone chokes or overdoses on sandwiches. You know it had to be some old ignorant fucks that were calling the cops while looking out their window with no real perspective on the issue. I got 4 pounds sitting right here, do something about it PIGS.

I should go to the park more often

If they'd legalize pot, they'd be reasonable.

If they'd legalize all possession of pot while keeping cultivation and manufacturing still illegal and make government agencies grow it for benefit:evil2: they'd be smart, reasonable and logical. (It would suck for us, citizens who want to make money by growing marijuana but at least it'd be legal and the federal government would have incredible revenues which means they could eventually lower taxes.)

Something tells me they are fuckin stupid.
