What is wrong with saying that to forget your clarity and openness of mind because of predispositions, beliefs, discriminations, and such is a loss of freedom of mind?

You're not following the "To each their own." rule. :nono:

Ofcourse i do! You can stuff your mind with all that you want, but i say that you might forget to appreciate your mind for what it is in its 'basic' kind of 'on-its-own' state of being. I believe that we all have the same mind just as much as we all have the same eyes... you know like 'seeing things' well here is the 'minding' thing.

Well then, about this depression. Wouldn't it be at the same time be a cure and the curing if we could remember our 'natural' state of mind from time to time when we are depressed?

Natural state of mind is the mind as it comes 'out of the box'.

Nobody has a mind like this after two seconds of life.

Wrong. This mind is always like that. It is like the clouds covering the sky. Mind is like that, our thoughts make us forget to look at our mind and recognise its 'natural' clarity. Instead we are looking at our thoughts to find that.

I think your confusing mind with spirit

but some believe the mind is the action of the spirit on the physical brain

oh and while I'm at it

we don't have a soul

we have a spirit

the soul is the result of the physical body/brain acting under the direction of the spirit

we are souls because we are half in half out

the point at which spirit meets physical

I would say that your 'spirit' is expressed through the actions of your mind.

Sure if we could do that. I don't believe it's possible in reality. We can improve things however using the mind in the state it's in. Sometimes.

'Natural state of mind' is lucid, clear and awake. An available mind, ready to encounter anything and deal with it reasonably and morally. A mind not preoccupied with thoughts and such. A healthy mind therefore, not obstructed, not biased, settled into itself. However, i don't think it is easy to develop and maintain this 'healthy mind'.

Blah blah blah.
Come on, you can't possibly expect to be taken seriously when you make statements such as these, that don't have any correspondence with the truth of the matter.
What do you even mean by "a mind not preoccupied with thoughts and such"? How would a mind like this be? The mind, by definition, is always preoccupied with thoughts, unless the brain is dead.

What about pointing out the improvement of the depression in the difference between a mind more or less occupied with the 'depressing' content? There must be a structural approach like meditation or yoga or whatever, as long as it helps to return the mind to its 'natural' state more or less. So that we can remember our 'free' mind and return to it whenever possible. Well, at least that's how i see it. Thanks for taking the effort to evaluate what i try to say.
