Did you case it immediately after spawning to bulk? More details would really help out with your question.

I see, next time wait until it colonizes your substrate BEFORE casing.

Excitement gets the best of everyone :smirk:

Hmm, I assume you crumbled some BRF cakes and then cased them?

Substrate (Terms of mycology) is anything you used for mycelium to eat. Grains, poo, straw, etc.

Next time spawn your grain to a bulk substrate like horse manure, straw, coir or a combination.  You will triple your yield!
Verm is not very nutritious and if you are using it as a "casing" then you don't want it to colonize.  A casing layer is a non-nutritious layer(normally) on top of a substrate,  you don't want a casing to colonize more than 30%.

spawn=the colonized contents of your jar
WBS(wild bird seed) RYE,pop corn,ect...

substrate= anything nutritious
that can be used to grow mushrooms like
straw,coir,manure,compost,wood chips ect...

casing layer=a non nutritious layer ontop of
your colonized substrate that provides a micro climate
for pins to form
