The 100th Monkey by Ken Keyes Jr.
    #11368110 - 11/02/09 10:18 AM (14 years, 4 months ago)

This book is about social change and nuclear arms proliferation which is all well and good.

However, I find it piss-poor journalism to base a book on a long-debunked myth. Keyes sites the '100th Monkey' case (look it up) as evidence for instantaneous knowledge transference, which is just plain wrong. This renders his well-meaning social commentary to be a joke.

While I agree he didn't know wtf he was talking about here it didn't change the fact of what he was trying to do. However while I really thought a lot of Ken I think he was pretty naive about stopping human madness.

The 100 monkeys are going to cost more than $5 each.

What if you put a 100 monkeys on typewriters? Would they eventually type a Shakespeare novel?

I'm a monkey...man!

"Pleasant Valley Sunday" is a song by Gerry Goffin and Carole King, most famous for the version recorded by The Monkees in 1967.
