I'd let them grow a little bit more and train them a bit so they make more buds in flowering. You're gonna thank yourself later on when you'll see all those buds lined up.

Just tie each branch and bend them over on the sides. I suppose that you don't know their sex yet, right? Cause you don't have to wait till flower to take clones, what you can do is just clone each plant starting now and put labels on them so you know which is which, so that when they're in flowering and reveal their sex you only keep the female clones alive, in case you don't want to make your own seeds. If this is your first grow and you don't have experience with cloning, you might want to take two clones off of each, just in case one of them doesn't make it. This way, you'll have more girls too the next time you flower.
But yeah, if you really want to clone a plant that's in flowering, you still can. It is easier if the plant isn't so late into flowering, and if you take the clone from the bottom branches that don't have so many pistils and resin on them.

If you plan on taking cuttings, take them no later than a week into flower to be on the safe side.

Noob question: If you take multiple cuttings from one plant (before you know if its m or f), can some of the cuttings from the plant turn out to be different sexes from others?

no A clone is the exact same plant you took the cutting from.

So people just harass their female plants by cloning them constantly? That makes cultivation a hell of a lot easier... hmm. Thank you for this valuable information.

I don't think you could call that harassing, but until you're a plant I guess there's no way to find out. They seem to be doing great even if you clone them, as long as you give then the right nutes, light, substrate, and temperature.

they will still grow quite a bit in height. i dont know how much room you have but if you dont want huge plants, especially since they look to be of sativa origin, then i would definitely start flowering the plants now.
and you can take clones from flowering plants. if you plan on putting the cloned plants under a 24 hour light, a lot of times they just keep flowering for a week or two and then go back into vegetative state after that time period but it is not a bad thing.

Start flowering them now. From the looks of it you don't have any HID lights, so when the plants stretch and get tall in flowering, light intensity near the bottom of the plant will be little to none.
To train, either top plants by cutting the main shoot. This will redistribute auxins to lower branches making them grow taller and stronger.
Or low stress training can redistribute auxins around the plant without the stress that pruning brings. just bend the main top downwards so that it is below another node. This basically tricks the plant into thinking that the main top is no longer the best one, so auxins are redistributed and other, lower branches start to grow much more quickly.
This is just a basic overview, for details PM me and I can give you a link to a real grow site..
and if you want to keep a mom, try cutting a clone before flowering. Once flowering starts it will take time to reverse the effects of flowering hormones, so it is more efficient to turn a clone into a mom if the clone was never in flowering phase. Make sure that mom gets no more than ~6 hours of darkness per day!

if using cfls you should really keep em shorter and maybe even some tying down..it helps get the most out of your lights. they will get more light like this.

you probably wont get a huge harvest using cfl bulbs compared to if you used different lights with a better light spectrum for the plants and youre also going to need fertilizer because your plants are going to be very hungry for them once flowering time comes. i would also advise to "flush-out" the plant before you harvest it by running pure water through the plant for several weeks so that you arent smoking unwanted elements.

You should let them grow for a couple more weeks before flowering.
You can take clones from a budding plant but i wouldnt reccommend it, I would clone while its still in veg. cycle.
You can trim them or tie them to get them to grow how you want.

Gonna take a little more research before you rake in huge yields, especially with CFL's. Probably the best thing to to would be using SCROG or a similar method to get a very even canopy, and then get those lights right next to the canopy. Light dissipates quickly and with CFL it is key to get the light as close as possible to the plants. CFL have the advantage of being cool compared to HIDs so you can put the lights within inches of your plants
