 My hand is still hurting me

A little while ago i got in a car crash. But because of the circumstances i had to run from the scene and didn't go to the hospital or anything.
Anyways its about 2 weeks later and my hand still hurts like crazy. Mostly my knuckles, they got smashed up against a window. My dad is an MD, but i don't wanna explain to him why i didn't go to the hospital. When i make a tight fist with my hand i get shooting pain in my hand, and when my fingers are pushed backwards beyond full muscle extension it hurts real bad. I have been icing during some nights and just waiting for the pain to go away, and while it has gotten better there is still noticeable pain in my hand/fingers. Should i just go see a doctor about it, cuz i feel as though it should be healed now

The pain isn't in your fingers- it's in the bones on the back of your hand? It sounds like an impact injury, similar as to what one would get from punching a brick wall. You may have broken something and need surgery if it's really bad. Otherwise, you might just need to stop using that hand for a while and let it heal.

If your hand is not swollen and you have good range of movement then you probably have a hair line fracture. Use heat and ice alternating on off about 10 min each. do this a couple of times a day and try to not use that hand.
Other than that I would go to a doctor.

Yeah its not swollen at all. And i can still use my fingers/hand. Its just when it is put in stressful situations, you know grabbing things tightly. I guess im just gonna ice it more often and see how it feels.

Sounds like a sprain or like I said, a hair line fracture. I have a few from sports.

You definitely should see a doctor and get a referral to an orthopaedist and have that hand looked at and properly taken care of. Your hands are very valuable to you and have the most discerning touch of your whole body, and it freely manipulate objects. In the hospital hand injuries are taken VERY seriously for the aforementioned reason. Having nerve injury to your hand can be debilitating not only can you lose sensation, but also muscle strength, and perhaps even cause wasting/atrophy of your muscles due to damaged/killed nerves. If you are having shooting pains and and it's over 2 weeks now - the inflammation has gone - it sounds like you have structural instability that COULD be impinging on a nerve, or the pain can be just residual from broken bones or what have you. The point is you can't really tell at this point. You need to see an x-ray. You have 3 nerves that supply your hand, if you think of carpal tunnel that's entrapment of 1 nerve that runs into the palm, damage to that nerve can cause muscle wasting. Something so simple as carpal tunnel can be devastating to a hand. You have an impact injury, the first thing that should have been done was to x-ray it make sure there's no major instabilities or fractures that could cause some nerve damage.
In other words, get it x-rayed and see someone about it.

Going to the hospital in America can get damn expensive... (And you can never fully count on your insurance actually covering you.)
If your dad is an MD then he could give you free medical help no? Or perhaps send you to his pediatric buddy who wont charge you? Just make up a story about falling down stairs or punching your girlfriend and let him look at it.

Yeah i should really see a doctor. Symptoms haven't changed since the original post. I don't have money to see a doctor, guess i'll just see what my dad thinks of it.

You got to think about your future, its way more valuable than what your dad might think dude. Tell your dad a made up story if the truth might hurt.
