So I have a couple syringes of Atl#7. I already knocked up several jars of rye berry for the stones. With one whole syringe still unused, and several squirts left in the other, I decided to get all kinds of stupid.

So I mixed a bit of gypsum, a bit of spent coffee grounds, brown rice flour, and some good ol' vermiculite. Oh, and water of course. All this in a short "flat" half-pint jar. My god! Verm with Atl#7?!

Yes. With stones already forming in the rye jars and so many spores to go around, I'm actually going to try and fruit some. From the damn jar. Yep, I'm that bored waiting for my PESH in the FC. :wink:

(Yes, I do understand that ATL#7 is a difficult one to fruit, and yes I know I'm opting for absolutely shit conditions to attempt this. All in good fun!)

atl#7 in the brf jars-done a little different from yours, but good results.

I find it amazing that stones were starting way before 100% colonization, and the myc spread so fast I had to wonder about cobweb. But nope, plenty of healthy stones still forming after 2.5 weeks or so. One jar is disgusting, obvious bacterial contam. I'm going to cook that one hardcore later today.

But yeah, since SW (sponsors are safe to mention right?) was kind enough to supply me with a second ATL#7 syringe, why not experiment? :wink:
