ID request - My guess - Agaricus cupreo-brunneus

Habitat: Sheep Pasture - Found in the field where sheep roam, growing straight out of the ground.

Gills: The gill color seems to be pink when young and dark brownish black when old. The gills are free.

Stem: Whitish, thick, solid .75 cm wide.

Cap: Light to dark brown depending on age, slightly shaggy, 2-4 inches in diameter.

Spore print color: Dark brownish black

Bruising: No color change was observed.

Location: Pacific Northwest. Oregon, USA

Like Agaricus Bisporus. Tastes a lot like it too, but stronger.

I made several spore prints already, and I will clone my best one tomorrow on some MEA.

Howdy, Alan.

Did you start that prince grow from tissue or from spores?  What media did you use?  How did it go?  Any recommendations? 

I just have some spores, and I understand it's quite challenging to grow them from spore.
