red polypore, any idea?

I know this is a lame ID request, just thought someone might know it off the top of their head. Found under young alder in the seattle area growing on a rotting log. All i have is this picture, so, yeah.

Well, sorry i haven't more information, but its coloration was just so bright red....doesn't match any of the descriptions in the books i have.
