Don't think i gathered enough info for an id request, but bumped into this and got a 'hey - color match' on the cap.  http://www.mykoweb.com/CAF/species/Macrocystidia_cucumis.html

Alone, under a landscaped pine in middle Ga, buried in needles but for the delicate cap of extremely thin flesh.  If i took a bite of it, it was mild, as i made no note.

Just wondering

M. cucumis has a darker stem, and the whole mushroom is pretty sturdy, compared with the often extremely brittle Psathyrella.  Those are the most obvious differentiating features.
