Can anyone verify the species of this cactus? Is it San Pedro?

Good find. They are etiolated to the point where they look like people, but nice specimen nonetheless.

Thanks. I found it a year ago and kept it in a corner of my room where the sun doesn't reach for far too long. It has been outside for the last several months, but it's cold and rainy now so it's coming in again. I'll find a better spot for it this winter, but I don't think there are going to be any highly sunlit places indoors. Maybe putting it under a grow light will suffice. It's also becoming to heavy to carry around, I might cut off some of the upper branches and replant them in another pot. Eventually I'd like to do an extract, but I couldn't make any use of it at the moment.

There had also been a much larger specimen for the same price of $100 CND where I bought that one from, but when I went to buy it the day after discovering it, it was gone. Thankfully, this one was still there.

If you don't have a good grow light ...put in the dark/colder spot so it will stop growing completely until the next growing season when you can place outside.

Insufficient light will make it etoliate.

Wth. I had put my cactus back outside today because it was sunny, and I just went to bring it in and found one of the tops broken off and lying on the ground a foot or so away from the pot. I don't know if someone cut it off or what, but the pot was sitting far away from all other objects. I guess if I just stick it upright in a pot of soil it will do ok?

Thanks for the tip.

Make sure the end drys and callouses over before planting. Should take about a week or two. YOu can speed things up with a small fan.
