Where will it go first, 12,000 or 8,000 and why?

I paid off some debt (a car and a credit card) and I am looking to invest some disposable income atm.

i'd like to be bullish but it seems to me that we've gotten back to 10,000 pretty quickly and I am wondering if a
big sell off will occur...

If it weren't for the bloody corpses, I wouldn't have any corpses at all.

There are two ways to get to the top of an oak tree: start climbing or sit on an acorn.

Are you a carrot, an egg, or a coffee bean?

if you're looking to invest, stay far the fuck away from stocks right now.

It's value is based on reserves, but reserves are replaced by a dwindling supply.  No other consumable commodity also lacks a replenishable supply.

My advice would be to find a good credit union and open the highest yielding savings account you can find.

Is the money worth risking? Because now is a horrible time to buy into the stock market, like showing up to a party right before they run out of beer. It has gone up over 60% since March, how much do you think it could go further? And is it worth risking at this point?

The stock market is in extreme day-trader bubble mode right now. The bottom could fall out in a matter of hours while your busy at work. If you save the money you won't have to worry because you'll have liquidity.

 on paying off your debt. All that interest you won't have to pay can add up to a lot of savings.

I wouldn't invest in the dow.  it's likely we will see a double bottom in this "recession."  it could happen any day now,  i'm not willing to risk when right now.

Besides,  there are better, more stable international markets to invest in right now.  I'm getting away from the USA until the fundamentals change.
