Not happy with Sporeworks :(

Alright, this does not bode well.  I think I just need to vent.


I know it's sunday, a non-business day, but I ordered on Wednesday, October 28 before 9a.m. EST and I still haven't received any notice of shipping.  5 days have passed and I am yet to receive any kind of email other than the automated reply for placing my order.  This doesn't seem very professional to me.  Maybe I'm just spoiled by shopping online and getting shipping notices within 24 hours.  What seems odd is the fact that people have posted they placed orders on the October 27 and have already received their orders.  That's only a day before I placed my order!  I know there was a delay in the order processing, but that was about a week before I placed my order.

What gives, Sporeworks?  This is my first order with you guys. I chose you over the competition because of customer service and package processing speed.  I am already unhappy with my experience.  Hopefully, my mind will change when I receive my package. Until then, :sad:

just chillax. all will be well. ive never had a problem with sporeworks. sorry to hear about ur bad experience :frown:

if you would ask me where to get spores, i would always say spore works. unless i know you personally. then for all you know, i know nothing about growing mushrooms. only eating them.:wink:

I'm in the same boat OP..

But, I've ordered from sporeworks in the past and service was great..

On the 19th Workman put a post here in the sponsors forum saying sporeworks is be re-working their ordering system, and we should expect delays for that whole week. but yea, its annoying that people ordered this week and got their stuff already, its like they took cuts in line.. :lmafo:

Yea it sucks; and this being your first time ordering with them I understand why you would be frustrated.

I have two orders that I have still not received shipping info on. one placed the 19th and one placed the 27th..

give them time, they are a reputable vendor. send sporeworks an email, it will create a service ticket.  mine hasn't been responded to yet, but I placed it Friday about noon, so that is somewhat expected.. :shrug:

The worst part is I could have driven to TN, picked up my order, and been back in FL within 24hours.

tbh: I don't think the carrier matters... In the past I have gotten emails when the order was paid for,  then another email when the order was complete and shipped..

this is what OP seems to have problems with.  no order complete/shipped email.

Didnt you write something in the comments section when you placed your order that refered to some sort of planned illegal activity........

Wasnt there a diff thread you had in this forum about that subject that was closed/deleted for that reason.......

I tried searching for it....... I know I posted a reply in that thread that implied I would be surprised if you got your order at all........

Did they charge you yet? I am going to guess NO.

Dont be mad at sporeworks cuz you cant understand rules or read.

Ugh, my first experience with Sporeworks is like my first experience with marijuana; it's unsatisfying and has left me with a headache.  Monday is a new business day.  I will email Sporeworks this evening and hopefully have some sort of response in the next few days.  This has been a VERY disappointing experience so far. 

I have already been charged for my order.  In the comments section of the order, I said something like I was new to mycology and interested in studying spores and i was a member of shroomery.org

As far as a reference to cultivation, you are correct I won't deny that. My fingers were moving faster than my brain could and I shouldn't have put certain words/phrases together in one of my threads.  I should restate that I am interested in cultivating edibles and researching spores for my new amateur mycology hobby.

It seems that there a number of others that haven't received their orders either, so I don't think I'm the only one.

One last thing, Shad0w, I'm just a noob and I'm trying to learn all of the rules and get a grasp on things, your arrogance in your reply was a bit much.  Instead of being rude, perhaps you can be more of a mentor and help those who are trying to get a start with a new hobby.

I use USPS and it takes my orders about 5-6 days, I'm within a 14 hour drive(NC)....
