What should I case my "allen" jars in?

Hello,
My "allen" strain jars are near full colonization. I'm planning on casing them in an aquarium, with an air exchange/humidification system keeping fresh air flowing through and keeping it humid. I'm also getting a mister to insure maximum humidity!
I'm just wondering what I should case my jars in. Should I just use vermiculite and potting soil? Should I add some dung? Horse dung maybe? I read that's good, plus I got a 24/7 fresh supply of horse dung:)
Another thing I'm thinking about is, the place i'm gonna have my aquarium is a closet that is kind've chilly. What should I use as a safe heating source, without worrying about something catching on fire in the night;) Don't they make heating lamps?
Thanks for all your help, Gthirteens

Thai strains dig on poo, but case like you would any other mushroom and you should be fine.

You seem to dive at every opportunity to undermine the Allen strain, and your only motivation seems to be because TLG sells it and you don't. I thought you were about spreading spores, I guess I was wrong.
Oh yeah, on a side note - insulting your customer base is not good business.

AFOAF told me that he got really big fruits off the Allen strain when he spawned horse poo. He used dried horse poo and pasturized it...ala horse poo tek. He cased it with 60/40... Verm/Coco Coir and it colonized the casing layer fast. He had fruits in 3 to 4 days for the 1st flush. The 2nd flush started pinning in 3 days....and the fruits much larger than the 1st flush. The 3rd flush pinned in 3 to 4 days...and again had nice large fruits.
He noticed that they like 74 degrees F ....for fruiting.
Ralph... I hope you have a Merry Christmas and a Happier New Year!!!

I cases mine with peat-moss and vermaculite and they are doing great. No pins yet on the casings. My Allen cakes just pined the other day though.
