Calcium Chloride (drying questions)
    #1136016 - 12/12/02 05:08 PM (13 years, 11 months ago)

Im curious if calcium cholride could be purchased at any local shops. If so under what name? I really havent looked around, but something is going to be dried soon.

I've heard of other methods, and also that not drying them properly can lead to a loss in potentcy. I know that calcium chloride is a sure fire thing

Two popular brand names are: Damp Rid and Dri Rite. Same thing, different names. Either of those should be available at a hardware store or a large home improvement store like Lowe's, Home Depot, Menards, etc. I got two tall refill containers for about $4 apiece at Lowe's... they were in with the cleaning supplies, I believe.

Epsom salt in a alumnium foil lined pan. Dry it in the oven at 450 for a hour. It will melt and turn into a crystal. Break up the "cake" into rocks.Thats a pretty good dessicant
