Went hunting today and stumbled upon this....

I am pretty stoked for sure. First time I have found a Sparassis radicata Weir ( Rooting Cauliflower Mushroom.) I must say I am pretty excited for dinner tonight!

I will confess something that should be quite obvious, CC.  I love mushrooms, i.e. fungi.  I really do.  I am talking about a strong feeling, i.e. emotion, for them.  I think they are beautiful.  I even dream of them.

Thanks guys!
The habitat: it was found on the ground under a conifer. It has been wet here in the PNW and mushrooms are popping up every where.
There were some others by it but too far gone to be good. I will be checking back at this spot in the coming week.
Happy hunting everyone!
