Ready to fruit?

My first grow, 3 pints of BRF cakes spawned to 1/2 gallon coir with a pint of worm casings and vermiculite cased with 50/50 peat moss/verm. It has been colonizing for 8 days now and I'm wondering if it is ready to fruit yet.

Patch lightly and *fruit.

To me casing then waiting to patch is a waste of time. When your substrate is 100% case it and fruit immediately... You'll still have a great pin-set. :thumbup:

After my sub is 100% colonised I then case it cover for 24 hours then fruit. it seems to work very well. The casing Is a non nutritious layer, meant only to hold a micro climate on the surface of the sub no need in waiting for it to "colonize"
