Do you have any holes whatsoever in your tub? I noticed they were all patched up.  Or maybe I wasn't looking close enough.

holes are 1 inch in diameter, three at the sub level and three near the top of the tub

holes are patched with micropore tape, there's a fan running in the room at all times (during colonization a blanket was placed over the tub)

i didn't really want to deal with polyfill and so far the tape has worked great :thumbup:

i dont think micropore tape is good to be using in humid areas it holds moisture and can wick in contams. polyfill is great for monos its a sythenic and is not a breading ground for contams

I got some PE I was going to just case in a fruiting tray to get back into the swing of things, but after looking at that, I think I am going to have to bust out my big ass monotubs and bulk that shit! Hope to be posting some pron like that in the not too distant future!

If I had that monotub full of fruits, I dont know if Id be able to resist :doggystyle: them!!

actually the tape stays nice and dry - as long as you keep it above the substrate level and put the tape on the outside of the tub it's all good :thumbup:

Nice 1st monotub shasha !

You must be very pleased.  Burma was a good choice.

Like you, I wasn't overly impressed with the pinset.  Then the fruits started to really take off and grow and get tall .... and then you decide, "Dang ! I like this !"

Mr. just me and I did a number of 18 gallon (72 qt.) Burma monotubs and the genetics were well suited for the conditions we provided in our tubs.

It looks like some of the guys are getting ready to do grows with the prints we sent out.  It will be fun to see how it works out for everyone.

One negative I'll mention about our Burma ... the fruits were very deeply 'rooted' in the uncased substrate and when harvested, they came up in clumps and tore the hell out of the top 3/4" of the sub. .... but the good news: the biggest 1st flush was over 8 ounces and 6 ounces was typical.

shasha, looks like you are going to be in the 6 ounce range.  That's cool.  Good job.

well this gro turned out sicker than i could have ever imagined

just picked all the beasts and shoved them into the nesco (barely fit)

1st flush wet weight: 1590.5 g

i definitely had the same problem, the sub is pretty ripped up right now and i'm skeptical about subsequent flushes, but frankly, i'm ecstatic at the results already

thanks man, the second tub has its first few pins, but i'm not expecting as strong of results because there was no coffee in the sub

of course...burma has already far exceeded all expectations, so we'll see...

That's amazing, and again I'm stoked about Burma. Has ayone found, in their experience, that casing can help with an issue like this?

i doubt casing would have helped at all, these monsters were gonna tear up whatever they were on, especially some of the larger clusters

besides, it was nice avoiding the casing step, one less chance of introducing contams! :thumbup:

of course, i'm sure down the road i'll case a tub, but for now i'll stick with uncased
