So I have had this Mexicana Truffles for a little over a week, kept them in a cool dry place, and woke up to them this morning with this white fuzz all over them. I plan on brewing them in a tea later, but this wont make me sick or anything no?
that looks like a zip-lock type plastic bag. when storing fresh truffles (of normal mushrroms for that matter), ALWAYS keep them in a brown paper bag in a cool, dry, place. otherwise, they will rot and be reduced to mush. if you've had fresh fruit-bodies in a sealed plastic container for over a week, they're most likely trashed--sorry holmes
