    #11355804 - 10/31/09 03:36 AM (14 years, 4 months ago)

I keep finding these whilst looking for liberty caps, there are a lot of them in my garden at the moment previous spore tests have been jet black I was thinking they might be pans subbs. maybe

Habitat:
Long grass flattened next to a stream, 5m away from treeline near horse manure two horses graze on the field

Gills:
The gills are a dark brown,

Stem: Brown, looked fragile but was quite sturdy, .

Cap: Lighter brown to Darker brown, smooth,1 cm diameter.

Bruising: No color change was observed.

Location: Picked in Surrey

I might as well put the others up on here. I believe these to be liberty caps

Location and Habitat: same as above

Gills:
The gills are a dark brownish

Stem: Light almost white, light brown patches, slim and fragile 3-5mm diameter

Cap: Lighter brown Nipple slimy texture. very fragile kept stick to the long grass and tearing

Spore print: Awaiting results

For me, the mushrooms in the first pics don't seem to be Pan Subbs.

However, the "expected Libs" indeed appear to be Libs, BUT -in the last pic- the round headed one in the upper left corner, the one with the dark stem, is something different!

Little bastard must have snuck into the pack.

Is the rounded one in the first picture the same as the one Fahkface pointed out?
