ok shook the grain jars.

so my usual 4 days per 1 syringe is still averaging that. the 4 jars per 1 syringe is taking what looks to be 7 days.

ok so here is the grain stem clone after a shake and the pf stem clone jars. ill give em a few more days when i have some free pf jars and then start them either on slurry or p2g.



in order of coloinization times tly beat my tex yellow cap. its faster colonizing and fruiting slightly. but from multispore the tex is the better yield by far.

here is day 10 on the grain jar. ive prepped grain and im going to p2g or slurry some of these clones into grain very soon. ive got ape on grain right now from a stem clone. i was held up by 50 quarts of grain spawn. but i cleared that up recently.

So I think this Shmuvbox thing is pretty awesome, but I'd really like to just attach the air filter to the side of a large SAB.  Anyone try this yet?  I'm looking for suggestions about how to approach this.  Should I just cut a huge hole in the side and slide the end of the air filter?  Suggestions would be appreciated.

you could do that. but i also have a large sab that big and i find it very restrictive. i have more space and its blown up in a 55 gallon lawn bag. i also find myself hitting the lid/sides and bumping everything when i use a sab. but ive seen people attach the hepa directly to a glovbox. ive also done this in the past. but it takes alot of cutting or melting to do so. test it out first before you go cutting up a perfectly innocent tub lol..

you can seal it in with that sealant the stuff. i did it that way when i made a giant mixing box for a grow room. but there are all kinds of sealants that they sell at home depot. go read a few labels and see if any of them are water/mildew proof. find the weather proofing area at home depot. they have some cool stuff.

ive used a fine tooth saw to cut into the tub no issue. you might be able to use a pvc saw or cutter.

you only need to slide it in far enough to have the out take pushing the air in the sab. but i always use a clean unused lawn bag. which might be why it works so well. you would need to scrub the hell out of the sab prior to doing any work. see this thing works like a flowhood. yes its circulating filtered air around in the bag. i also spray lysol in it from time to time and give it about 30 seconds to push the lycol around. it is the total opposite principle of the SAB. but the circulating air never causes any issues or contams if you have a clean filter. i used a filter for more than 6 years. i still have the original two filters i bought with the hepa unit in 2003. so ive only changed the filter one time. these are not true type hepa's either. they now have true type hepa filters for these small units.

That's a good tip about getting mold resistant caulk, apparently normal silicone is not good for this.  I found GE kitchen and bath supreme silicone for mold resistance http://www.caulkyourhome.com/ge-silicone-II-kb-supreme.php. ; a 105 quart is pretty small but I could double up, making it a dub tub, or even make a custom plastic box.  I just can't seem to get used to the 55 gallon bag idea.

why not try it with the bag, you would be surprised at how much space there is.

u can fit 20 quarts and my utensils in one sitting without taking anything out of the bag. ill g2g, p2g or slurry those. take it all out, then put 20 more in and slurry those. i can use it in more than one sitting but usually don't. i usually only do one session of lets say g2g or whatever work it is im doing. then start from a new bag when i do a new punchlist item.

it looks ghetto as hell but when i first saw this i was like no way that works man. so i had to try it for myself. lets just say i threw out a fairly unused flowhood after that. big clunky boxy thing took up all the space i had in my 900sf apartment. this thing takes about 1'x2' space.

So all this can be done in a SAB.  Using sterilized distilled water and blending in stem cell tissue is a brilliant idea.

I reluctantly opted for the bags, a huge sab just takes up too much space.  105 quart is cramped IMO.

yes, the clean work you do does not matter with what type of equipment you want to use. just that you try to be as clean as you can. a SAB or a flowhood will work fine. i just use shmuvbox. it was just the example i showed because that is what i prefer to use with near 100% success.
