i need one that i can do quart jars with.

need to do 6 jars, but doesnt havent to be at the same time...just a days worth of work i guess.

can that thing hold like 1 or 2?

I have that one. It can hold 3 quart jars, or 4 pint jars, or like a bunch but I forgot exactly how many half pints (of the taller variety).

But if you want 6+ quarts more than once in a while, you should probably get at least a 16 quart model.

I doubt that will fit a quart.  Measure your quart jars and make sure whatever PC you get is at least 2" taller than your quart jars.

The quart jars are a bit of a squeeze but it will fit 3. I definitely need to get a bigger one though because it is annoying spending a whole day PCing jars simply b/c the PC only fits 3 at a time.

That is the way to go,  spend a few more dollars and get a PC like that instead of wasting your money on a PC that you will not be happy with.  Shop around you can get a 18-23qt PC that will hold 7-12qt jars for around $100 and you wont want to buy another PC in 3 months:wink:.  Also the larger PC will pay for it self with all the power/time you will save.

I use the 23 qrt presto, thing works great. Im gonna pick up an All American PC tho...There the real deal!

The 8 Qt Presto I have holds 10 half pints (stacked) or 5 pints.  Works great, but would be nice to be able to do 12 half pints at once.

i have two 8 qt pc, they fit 4 quart jars perfectly. 23 qt sound to crazy for me
