hi, so used rye as a substrate and cased with 50 /50 verm peat with a little added oyster shell. i was trading spore prints and found one i hadnt labelled and that is the one thats being grown unless otherwise mentioned.
i have 4 casings all acting differently having being treated different
this one was dropped accidentally but patched and seems to of recovered and is enjoying life in a shotgun terrainium at 83rh 68f. fanning 2-3 times a day misting 2 times.
this is a cake that contamed but i rescued with peroxide and a knife it was the last of my thai lipa yai spores so i wanted this one to work. also is a cake of the mystery cubes and a section of the casing i dropped that didnt fit back into the tray.
one more casing from the shotgun terrainium
now here is my tent setup
i have a coolmmist running 24/7 and a heatlamp inside the tent
the ultrasonic is at the top running every 1/2 hr (that pipe i made is temporary, yes its cardboard but lined with plastic)
the rh is 90 and 70f. an air filter is blowing into the intake on the cool mist because it seemed like a good idea (fae maybe?)
thats bpk strain and the very small shroom. quite a few pins but the shroom only grew 3/4 inch high and cap the sise of a small pea. thats the first shroom to mature off of this grow
the reason for the hole is i had a contam but cut it out and peroxide sprayed the lot.
same goes for this casing which too me looks like overlay?? im not sure but it doesnt look like the other casings. and all the pins are coming from the side
these 2 are in the tent cos they both contamed so they are isolated.
what am i doing wrong or what can i change?

Perhaps the peroxide spray made it demented? Unhealthy mycelium colony would produce unhealthy mushrooms...

sounds like when u get done growing what u have there u should take bleach water and wipe down your entire house grow area and well every thing to try and kill that mold.
u might wanna run a flow hood to filter the air in the room man.
also invest in a tyvek paint suit they are cheap it makes good filters and u can use the sleeves when using a glove box.......do u have a glove box?? if not i would make one with all those contams

as long as the shroom hasnt got mold on it i reckon it would be ok. ill spray what i pick anyway with a bit of peroxide to be sure. i mean, ive accidentally eaten moldy bread before. not the best idea abut what is the immune system for anyway. (im not saying i recommend anybody eating mold)
so maybe cos ive sprayed with peroxide the shrooms are stunted?
do i need to fan my tent setup or is it ok to just leave it?
yeah. after this grow im going to redo the tent with better plastic and clean the hell out of everything.. again. the room here i converted into a shroom room was an old bathroom in the basement that had the toilet explode about 5 years ago.. i ripped out the sink, cleaned up the shitty walls, floors and ceilings then layed plastic on the floor and put down some carpet, built some shelves, my tent and then attached a door. was a lot of work but i now have a space!! yey

so the first shroom to mature weighed .34 wet and is about 1 inch tall and cap 1/2 of my little finger nail.

Ya, as soon as I saw contams on it I would toss it. I don't know what causes them to mature too soon but a friend of mine Cased some cakes last year of B+ and not one of them was over 2 inches tall. We don't know what caused but I assume its cause of contams.

so its a couple of days later and here is where i am in pics
i think that the casing must of been weakend with its problems.unhealthy casing. shame. some are doing better now but not as good as my last grow where i used pf style cakes. that had a lot larger shrooms.
anybody able to identify them???

cake doesnt look too bad but lot lighter caps. they're supposed to be the same strain
