    #11346751 - 10/29/09 05:15 PM (14 years, 4 months ago)

That would be my guess aswell - Do a sporeprint n be sure its a psilocybe - then eat a dry gr and compare to the same amt of cyans - i think the azures will just kick major azz:smile:

Maybe it's Psilocybe cyanofriscosa?  I'm pretty sure they've been found in WA before...but I could be wrong.

I doubt it's an azure, but it could just be weird cyan.

Why are you positive it isn't a cyan?  Looks like a funky cyan to me.

Yes, cyanfriscosa have been found is WA, but it doesn't look like it to me (but what do I know?)

I vote cyan.

I would lean towards Cyanescens over Friscosa as because of the undulting cap margin, and Cyanescens over Azurescens because of the Habitat and cap shape. So i say Cyan.

ok so just got back home and im glad to see theres quite a discussion. i come bring new photos of the Psilocybe's.

ok in the next 4 pics, the unknown is on the left and the Cyans are on the right.

Id say theres clearly a difference there. now, i haven't tried them yet. i actually ate a few giant cyans earlier tonight and had a great time. i would like to take these very soon though. i would just like to know what they are. haha. i plan on goin back in a couple days to get some more. anyway, i would say they're the cyanofriscosa, but thats just my 2 cents. so?

As others suggested, these look like "Cyanofriscosa".  This species prefers the same habitat as P. cyanescens, and I often find them growing alongside one another.
