ARLINGTON, Va. (AP) — A half dozen people including two farmers have been arrested for trying to plant hemp seeds at the Drug Enforcement Administration headquarters in Virginia.
Arlington County police spokeswoman Det. Crystal Nosal says the protesters were charged Tuesday with trespassing. They were among 21 people protesting the ban on hemp farming.
Hemp is related to marijuana and currently all hemp products sold in the U.S. must be imported.
The Hemp Industries Association is lobbying lawmakers on Capitol Hill to decriminalize hemp farming for products like clothing and rope.
A farmer from North Dakota and another from Vermont were arrested. Police say they had shovels but did not appear to have any drugs and caused only minor damage to the lawn.

The country is miss managed. Get out, never imagined that one. BTW screaming at town hall will only get you arrested. We need to live life the way we see fit. If you can leave the US, I highly suggest doing so. 20 million imprisonments for drug prohibition is completely ridiculous. It cannot last forever.

Holy Toledo. Thank god the lawns allright. Its not like im more concerned with the farmers who will now face damaging Consequences for planting a seed. What about the people? Seriously?industrial hemp? come on. Thats how it goes i guess.

I'm not surprised that one of the farmers was from Vermont. MJ is the biggest cash crop in my state, even if it is illegal. i think maybe that may say something??

I have wanted to move to Canadia for years. Had a plan, going well, economy tanked, so did my business. But I don't think it matters anymore.
It's the same thing.
