Habitat:
Golf course in Salem, Oregon. in grass at the base of an ever green tree, near some pine needles.

Gills:
brown/Grey, attached, gills

Stem:
4-5.5cm length, 4-5mm diameter,yellow orange, smooth, hollow, thin

Cap:
3.5-5.5 cm diameter, brown around edges then a yellow layer with an orange tip, smooth, spherical, convex

Spore print color:
purple

Bruising:
a light Grey when caps split

Other information:
smells earthy

hmm maybe an older kind of hypholoma? did it seem to be growing from possibly burried or near rotting wood? maybe even roots?

it was growing near a tree, so it may have been on some of its roots.
