check out krav maga for a good over all self defense/in depth fight technique.

it is used by the Israeli army to train their soldiers in hand to hand combat, and in my opinion is one of the best all around martial arts to get into for just learning technique and mental training

I'm just getting to the NAGA/Nationals level. I hope to place well in both competitions next year, thus far I've only done local grappling tournaments and I'm currently recovering from a nasty shoulder injury and getting ready for my first pro MMA fight in December.

Oh that's awesome man. Let us know how the fight goes, I hope you have a quick recovery. Have you done any amateur MMA fights? By pro I assume you mean the other guy is a professional fighter or you plan on becoming one.

I'll get the fight uploaded here shortly after it happens (as long as I don't get my ass kicked like an idiot :tongue:

) I'm gonna try to get a shroomery patch for my shorts too.

And yeah I've been in all sorts of random amateur competitions, some grappling some striking, but I'm about ready to get paid.
