I have a question about the legality of beating the shit out of trees with a hollow iron bar...
    #11347864 - 10/29/09 07:58 PM (14 years, 6 months ago)

If I get caught, what would be the charges? Would they arrest me on the spot and take me to jail? Would they just fine me?

I'm asking because I want to practice wielding this hollow iron bar as a self-defense weapon; I want to train myself to use it effectively so I can protect myself, and trees (particularly Eucalyptus trees) seem like the best thing to practice on since they are very durable and large.

So what do you guys think?

dude, unless they are a protected plant, then it would be totally legal for you to beat the damn thing, unless you are doing it on someone elses property and they ask you to stop...

WTF kind of question is this?

peace

Eucalyptus is an invasive species; go for it.  Also plant Psilocybe cyanescens spores/spawn around the base, the mushroom can grow from the bark/crap that falls off the tree.

I only hate violent creatures.

Yes, they are, but if a cop saw me battling one, would he come up to me and arrest me?

Hmm, I just might do this someday.

I am requesting a moderators opinion on this matter, BTW.

I don't think a koala bear would, well, be able to bear the weight of this particular iron bar...

I think they'd probably just give you a warning first. It would more likely be a member of the dnre that would give you trouble though.

How are you practicing defense by attacking a stationary tree?
Leave the trees alone, go bash a cow or something.

It would probably be best not to do that in a city park because it may be considered vandalism, going out to the woods or something on public land would be your best bet I think.

Congratz on the weirdest question i've ever seen...go take some martial arts classes man you'll learn how to fuck up things that actually move.  Even the simplest tactics you learn in a couple months are enough to really take control of a situation.

If it's your tree and it's not a protected species you can do whatever the hell you want to it.

If it's not yours then it's destruction of property, vandalism, etc..

I would be more worried about being committed or taken to the hospital for evaluation if you get seen doing this.

The difference between the substances doesn't matter. This is a war on consciousness, on our right to the very essence of what we are. With no control over that, we have no need to speak of freedom or a free society. -fireseed

I find the whole "my drug should be legal but yours should be illegal" mindset disgusting and hypocritical. It's what George Bush and company do when they drink a cocktail and debate the best way to imprison marijuana users. -Diploid
