some oysters
    #11347462 - 10/29/09 09:04 PM (8 years, 8 months ago)

finally got out hunting today.

i found some drying oysters, contaminated by laevea on hardwood.

i did not find any more fresh, but from these, i collected some nice basal tissue and colonized bark, which i have laid between pages of some phone books i had hoped to compost.

if i establish a culture, i hope to use it to decompose the woody debris from my yard, and any more i can rescue from around the neighborhood. i'll be building all manner of compost to sequester organic matter for the soil, then the garden.

i have some other photos which i may put up in here later, Agaricus and such.

i'll be back when it rains again, and if not; with luck they will be growing around my yard on every tree limb/log i can get my hands on.

my plan is to fill the yard completely with organic matter, plant and fungal life.

the autumn rain will start in earnest soon. i will be incredibly happy. for now, i'll look anyway, and work on the new garden. new home, new garden.
