Blasphemy!
I don't know which one I liked better, probably Grandma's Boy but Pineapple Express was hilarious as well.

Grandma's Boy made you feel ok, not judged to be a pot head, Pineapple Express attached too much negativity directly to the pot, focusing on the shady and portraid the dealer as a kind hearted dummy that Seth's character could isht on and mistreat because he's one of those blame pot for your personal shortcomings types. If I were to read that much into it, lucky for me that I was high when I saw it.
Oh and for those GB fan's out there.

Pineapple Express got unfunny towards the end. Definitely Grandma's boy because it was funny throughout the movie.

it's hilarious to me how many people didn't actually read the original post, but rather responded directly to the thread title. it wasn't just one guy. it was a significant portion of posters.

I saw Grandma's Boy. I'd have to say Pineapple Express for reality. I'm not saying I could see being chased by cops in a giant conspiracy as possible, just that guys pretending to be robots and karate monkeys seems too far-out.

The problem with Pineapple Express is they tried to be stoner but action flick at the same time. It just doesn't work.
If you're gonna be stoner you gotta go full comedy.
Which bring me to my point: "never go full retard"

To answer the OP's question, I can't say any of my dealers have ever been like either Dante or the dude from pineapple express. If I had to liken all my dealers to one of these people I'd say it'd be a pretty even split between the two, but these examples are pretty extreme, most the people I've gotten drugs from are either pretty normal people, old hippies, or sleazy low lifes/ I wish I had a dealer like Dante though.
As far as what this thread has turned into I'd have to say Grandma's Boy is the better movie. Pineapple Express was good, but it was one of those movies you can only watch like once or twice a year with out getting sick of it. Grandma's Boy is one of those movies thats funny enough to stay funny even if you watch it like once a month.

Skryllz Yeah the thread took on a life of it's own due to the tittle but whatever. Some people catch the real question, like you ever now and then and in the mean time people just chat it up about a couple of cool movies or whatever, it's all good.
You are right about the rang in dealer personalities being as varied as society overall. I had a really sweet nice hippie couple once that moved away and whom I'll miss and a few sleazy people that I am glad not to have to ever see again in my life.
I have a great person now that is just a nice down to earth brother that happens to sell pot.

It gave me a good laugh too. But in their defense the title does make the thread seem very self explanatory.
I was friends with my main dealers before they started dealing, good guys that I chill with a lot.
I love grandma's boy and pineapple express, but I think I laughed a little more at Pineapple express.
