PF jar,Wheat flour, coffee water"half strength",and verm.Sclerotia started to form at about 40 percent colonization, didn't take long at all. This particular jar was 6 weeks old, decided to harvest and spawn mycelium to some coir and coffee grounds in a small Tupperware container.Really hoping to get prints from this species.Tasted a lil nibble of the sclerotia and can say that it does have a very nutty/fungi like taste, the taste wasn't bad at all.Anywho, here's some pics, and i would like to thank Cervantes for the getting Avid interested in this species. And would also like to thank the awesome Shroomery member that hooked avid up with a few prints.Any tips and advice on fruiting is encouraged,Thanks!

If the fresh sclerotia was put in a sealed container and stored in the fridge, would they still be good by Halloween?Or would it just be better to dry and grind them?

Thanks,Truskool-avids not to good with the grains,so decided to work with 10 wheat jars and 10 rye jars.Wheat jars were definitely moving alot faster than the rye,but they both seem to be doing well.

6 weeks from ms inoculation to harvest, all the wheat jars are fully colonized and full of stones, rye jars are about 90 percent and are producing about the same amount of stones.

So this seems pretty regular that stones are produced before 100% colonization very nice.  Well it also seems that the rye has been successful for you congrats

Yeah, definitely successful, but the prints is what avid is really after.Hopefully if avid does get prints, they'll be given back to the community to try and get the same stones before full colonization results.

Congrats on your stones

My best ATL7 jar is at 26 days. It started forming stones a week or so ago right at 100% colonization (surface area anyway). It's got a dozen or so visible stones forming, one is about the size of a quarter. I used rye grass seed. My second jar is forming stones right now, at 21 days. 2 more just hit 100% colonization and a few others are lagging behind. The best jar was knocked up on 10-2 and the others that are right behind were at 10-7 and 10-8. So I hope I get a good harvest pretty soon. I thought harvest time was around 3 months, 6 weeks seems a bit early? But you obviously got a good harvest.

No offense, what's with the third person thing?
