Good Quality Spore search
    #11344287 - 10/29/09 12:01 PM (8 years, 1 month ago)

I do live in a state where spores are legal. So with that being said i bought a kit from a local head shop. They do carry indivdual spore syringes as well. I would like to know if there is a trusted site online i can order from that you guys use. Also for bulk growing what is the best quality/quatity strain. you would recommend.  using a bulk substrate/monotub tek

For your first I would suggest B+ or Oak Ridge. In my experience they are the fastest to fruit. But that's just my opinion

Noobie,

that depends on what kind of jars and substrate he is using...

PF jars(BRF/Verm) colonize best at 81 degees F.

Quart jars with other types of grains do however colonize better at room temp, 70 to 76 degrees F.

^^Interesting.

I just switched everything from my bedroom (73 f) to a spare room (81 f, but all tile, white walls ((no a/c)) .. I am using wbs bags.. thought it wouldn't be a problem.. perhaps i should run the spawn in my bedroom, then move to fruit in the other..?

i thought the myc creates its own heat as it colonizes
heating the jars up a little
also that contams thrive at higher temps

thats why i have always kept my temps kinda low
hmmm, nice to know tho

this is all good information to know..thanks you..but the kit i bought for my first time trial..did not have any information on what was in the substrat.it did look alot like the BRF substrate but no guarentee..so suggestions roadkill or just be safe with room temps and when i move to Rye not time just keep room temp them as well im assuming..

edit--1/2 quart jars

I've never heard of such a distinction. Thanks, Road.
