amanita muscaria fly agaric help please :)

hi people i have just recently bought some amanita muscaria fly agaric mushrooms. they took about 17 day to come to the u.k from the u.s. i open the packet and a strong smell is present, a musky pissy smell its habad, alost on the top of 2 of the 3 caps have a small black bruised area in the center. Any advice for me on this shroom i.e is nausa that bad etc. i hear all sorts is it even worth eating

The black may be mold.
If it smells like mold or bacteria are eating the mushrooms, don't consume them.

thanks for the reply. ive read that these mushrooms do smell funny. there seems to be only a small dark blackish part on the center of the cap, what if i discard this part will the rest be ok. what are the effects like and does it cause realy bad sickness at first. thanks peace out

for one thing i think you have to dry them out or something or else they will make you sick you can look it up here at the shroomery

think theres a few ways of preparing them but definately dont just go eating it fresh...
fly agarics grow all over in england, probably worth going picking yourself next time, then you can make sure you get nice fresh ones

That or just buy some pre-dried and verfied ones. That way you can cook them up and prepare them at your leisure without worry of mold and bacterial horrors.

hey thanks for you help. i bought them over the net for 25 dollars he said they were grade a++ lol they are dry but smell musky how can i cook them whats the effect like

A. Muscaria has a Muscy piss smell naturally. Maybe thats how it got the name muscaria?
They must be dried with heat!

I'm not trying to bust balls or anything. I'm honestly curious. A. Muscaria is a psychoactive mushroom correct? So this isn't the correct forum.
I could be wrong, I'm still learning.
