Too much H2O?
    #1134283 - 12/12/02 06:22 AM (14 years, 10 months ago)

I think my friend has way too much water.  yesterday he noticed that there was no sitting water on the bottom of his grow chamber.  so he added some water, and apperently too much because when he checked them this morning some of the cakes were floating away in perlite/ocean.  so my friend built up mounds of perlite and placed the cakes on the mounds, out of the swamp.... will this be ok.  Are there any methods my friend could use to get rid of the extra water.  I was thinkin leaving the cover off to let it evaporate quicker, but leaves it open to contams... any suggestions?  and another thing, my friend has ton of water but there isnt much condensation on the sides of the growin chamber???  Thanks guys.

fan as often as possible.

Not much can be done now, although you don't really have to worry about contams once a cake is colonized. It's rare they will contam unless you have very spore laden air, or terrarium. (not likely for 1st grow)

Get a small cup and start bailing water out of there.
Don't leave the cover off to let it evaporate, this will screw up your cakes.
They would dry out or get contams from the open air.
