    #1134117 - 12/12/02 05:15 AM (14 years, 2 months ago)

Well I went back last night to collect some more. It was hard to get some good pictures with just a flashlight, but here they are anyways.

Hi, another great collection of images of the Subbs. I have put them into the photoshop and lightened them, I can make you a cd-rom of the new corrected images for you id you like. Pm to me a post of your addy and I will mail it out. You can tellt he difference. It rtook away the darkness from these last images here on the pafgge and they look really great .

Thanks for sharing your discovery. It is greatly appreciated. And very unusaual to be so late in the fall in California in the miffle of the northern part of that state. Is that the dry area of the state, Stockton/Medesto or Sacremento. In Oregon it is Februrary to May and again in August to October.

Here i Seattle more common in mAnure but still rather rare in manure. The only manured fields were in one place in hawaii where they grew abundantly along wiht Copelandia cyanescens up on Kula Highway on the road to Ulapalakua ranch overlooking Kehei and Wailua from Haleakala volcano.
on Maui.

Peace and sly hhigh

Here are two of the lightened images from photoshop:

They are not abundant in manure in the fields. a few cowpies here or there evry year only and that would take a lot of fields to look and go through.

They are abundant in rotted hay and compost heaps at racetracks and some riding stables in the PNW and in haystacks in the Willamette Valey area of Oregon.

Johua found a lawn, but within one year the lawn most likely will not reproduce them after the stoping of fertilizers.

as for hay compost heaps at riding stables, even the Dung Brothers formater found a bigh patch two years ago when he lifted the tarp off of his compost heap. they did not return the following year.

They are rare but common. If you have noticed in the past four years at this site, only five or six people have posted images of them, LK in Georgia, Mitchnast in Nva Scotia or thereabouts, GGreatOne234 and Una and Workman's and several others who cultivated them and posted images.

Anyway have a shroomy day and that was a grat find by Angryshroom.

mj

nermski, according to the folks at sw:
Colonization/Fruiting Temperatures: 80-86F/75-80F
but this i think is the ideal, as they will fruit in a wider range of temps, and i find them more often in colder (it's only rainy enough in colder temps here).

hehe thanks again, mr mushrooms.

yeah nerminski... the temps around here have been about 40-45 at night and 50-65 during the day. Its been foggy, not real rainy, until now, but there are no more specimens to collect They all appeared about 4 weeks after our first rainfall, but about a week during our foggy mornings and sunny afternoons.
