    #11341105 - 10/28/09 09:21 PM (8 years, 1 month ago)

Habitat: Growing out of a bush under tree. The ground had those dark wood chip mulch stuff around them.
Gills: Color was dark brownish
Stem: Whitish/brown? (see picture), pretty fragile.
Cap: light white brown on top and as it got to the end it darkend. diameter no bigger than a penny.
Spore print color: Dark/blackish.
Bruising: No color change was observed.
Location: Washington State USA
Additional: If these are not liberty caps, what are they?

hmm, growing in mulch, fragile stem, dark print, no bruising, kinda sounds like some kind of psathyrella? although the cap does look like a mycena, my bet is on 1 of those 2.
