Hi, i was wonder can i use particulate filter respirator as a jar lid filter? the ones used in health facilities such as clinic to protected diseases such as TB and etc?

There's plenty of Tyvek out there without stealing it. :rolleyes:
As for the OP's question about masks- I think texture will be an issue and I'm not sure you can PC them. But you sure could try it on an empty jar and see if it works.

I used Tyvek all season then switched back to polyfil- it makes a nicer lid, IMO. Add an RTV injection port if you like. :thumbup:

I've searched everywhere for tyvek, unfortunately is not easily accessible in south africa that is why i am asking... I have access to free respirators so it doesnt cost me a cent...

anyway i'll test them out and lets you guys know the result

check at the post office they give the tyvek envelopes away for free here.

A lot of times, medical packaging is tyvek. If you peel open a pack, and one side looks like paper but isn't- that could well be tyvek.
It's gas permeable, so it is used with EO sterilization, among other uses.
So if the free respirators are stored with other stuff, look around.

Update.

I've had good success with these respirators, so far i tested it with 3 jars and all of them are almost completely colonized with no contaminants.

If anyone is interested I can post some pics showing how I did them.
